Tutku Yollu - Counsellor

Tutku is a Counsellor at Australian Disability Services (ADS). She specialises in Early Child Intervention and Youth Work. Tutku is unique to other therapists at ADS because she has a natural ability to build meaningful, unique, and strong relationships with young children. She makes it fun to learn by using varying resources and by working closely with families to overcome barriers and achieve goals. She is an avid advocate for children and will go above and beyond to support their needs. Tutku is extremely determined, which is a testament to her excellent professional skills. More importantly, she is open to growth and development within her career. Tutku has been working with ADS since late 2017. She joined our team as a case manager and therapy assistant and has worked her way up, building skills and experience within a therapist role.

Prior to joining ADS, Tutku worked as a Family Contact Supervisor with a not-for-profit organisation. Her role involved assessing and supervising family contacts and implementing family programs for children who were under the care of Family and Community Services (FACS). Tutku studied her Diploma of Youth work in 2015. She then worked as a youth worker, creating new and innovative programs tailored to vulnerable and disadvantaged children within the criminal justice system. Tutku has always been passionate about working in the community service sector from a young age, and with determination, she completed her Diploma of Counselling in 2018 and expanded within the sector, taking on varying roles to implement practical work for young people within her community. She is currently an active member of the Australian Counselling Association.
