
Armani Afif - Therapy Assistant / Support Coordinator
Armani is a new member of ADS as a Therapy Assistant and Support Coordinator. She has successfully graduated from Bachelor of Psychology and is currently studying her Master’s Degree. Armani is determined in making a difference and enhancing the lives of people who have a disability. She has mental health experience working in the community and loves to empower them to achieve their NDIS goals on a holistic level. She implements therapeutic techniques during her sessions such as cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness, person-centred therapy and evidence-based therapy. She provides therapy for individuals who suffer from a variety of mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression and PTSD. Armani possesses strong skills such as patience and respect as well as working well with other allied health professionals. Armani has a determined nature and strong interpersonal skills which allow her to work to the highest of her ability and overcome challenges. Armani is bilingual (English and Arabic) and thoroughly enjoys working with diverse cultures.
Armani is also a support coordinator who ensures the needs and wants of clients are being met. She caters and provides recommendations for each client based on their individual needs. Armani uses interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients to improve the mental and emotional wellbeing of all ADS participants under her care. She ensures each client understands their NDIS plan as well as connecting them to the best suited services based on their plan.
